9 Hole Ladies

Objective…Keeping Golf Fun!

Welcome Lady Golfers! The Berry Creek Nine Hole Golfers are a friendly, supportive group of women who just like to play golf. Whether you are brand new to the game, getting back into it after a break, or just want to play more regularly without a lot of fuss, this group is for you.

What we do...

...Learn - While we’d all like to become better golfers, accomplishing it is another thing. Our mission includes finding ways to help us develop our golf skills, improve our level of play and to learn and practice proper golf etiquette. Our Club’s Pros conduct a Spring Clinic for us addressing all aspects of the game, with lots of personal attention and great suggestions for practicing. On Play Days we help each other learn and apply the rules of golf. And there’s always an abundance of encouragement.

...Laugh - Another objective is to thoroughly enjoy the social aspects of golf, on and off the course. We play a scramble the last Wednesday of each month followed by a pot luck luncheon at a member’s home. A Membership Coffee in February kicks off our golf season and in December we conclude it with a festive holiday luncheon. Playing scrambles with the Ladies Golf Association and helping out with the LGA Berries Jubilee tournament offer even more opportunities to meet Berry Creek friends.

...Play the Game - There’s no easier way to get out to play. Play Days continue all year long on Wednesdays at 9:15 am. Come when you can, just sign up the day before with the Pro Shop. We play nine holes of golf, no special formats, and many of us stay for lunch. In the fall we invite groups from other local clubs to our own scramble tournament, the Berry Bowl. And, we have opportunities to play at other clubs such as Sun City.

Come play with us! You only need your clubs and a smile!

Golf Academy

Lessons with Patrick Chamberlain (Head Golf Professional)

Patrick studied the golf swing with Golf Digest Top 100 Instructor, TJ Tomasi. Tomasi was the writer and co-founder of the L.A.W.s of Golf swing theory and Patrick quickly learned how golf swings vary both on body types and each student’s fitness level.

Patrick has recently recommitted his focus to understanding the Putting Stroke better, While the putter was the main reason Patrick stopped following the sun as a professional golfer. General Manager, Shawn Goben has changed his understanding of how to access and teach the putting stroke. Thanks to Shawn , Patrick has had many great rounds at the club as well as in  local and state wide events. 2020 was a great year on the course for Patrick shooting a course record tying 65 and a 63 in the 2020 " Shorty"  He can't wait to share that knowledge with the Berry Creek Members. #seeitputtit #bumblebee

Patrick starts each new student with a body and flexibility assessment to determine which swing style best fits that student and then begins to build an efficient golf swing that is easy to learn and repeat. Patrick finds great fulfillment in teaching students of all ages and playing abilities. He greatly enjoys building strong relationships with his clients, and watching their game improve. Patrick also uses video to help monitor growth in each students game so each student can visually take pride in how their game is progressing.
