OVERVIEW
- Start Date: No later than June 1 (this will be closely monitored for best start date)
- Completed for play: Estimated between August 1 and August 31
- Selected grass type: Mini Verde, an Ultradwarf Bermudagrass
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
- Construction time: 30 days (weather dependent)
- Remove an average of 6” of existing sand on all greens including putting green
- Add 6” of USGA conforming sand to all greens and till into existing mix
- Increase total green surface from 76,166 sq. ft to 114,420 sq. ft. (50% increases to current sizes)
- We will fumigate all greens to make sure all foreign grasses are cleaned
- We will increase the greens contours and recapture some of the original design
- We will be sprigging all the greens for seamless coverage
- In-house work on other areas of the golf course as time and money allows (bunkers and other areas)
- Grow in time of new grass estimated at 4-8 weeks
WHAT ABOUT PLAYING GOLF DURING THE RENOVATION?
- Temporary greens will be used during most of the renovation
- Extended hours of driving range
- Area golf courses will allow are members to play at discounted rates (more details to come)
- Additional fun golf events will be planned for members
